The Staff

All of our staff are qualified or working towards a childcare qualification in line with government recommendations.

The Curriculum

The nursery follows the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ (EYFS) framework, to help young children achieve the five outcomes of:

Staying Safe

Being Healthy

Enjoying & Achieving

Making a Positive Contribution

Achieving Economic Well Being.

The framework sets the standard for learning, development and care within the nursery, ensuring that every child makes progress and is included and is not disadvantaged because of ethnicity, culture, religion, language, family background, learning difficulties, disabilities, gender or ability.

It is the basis of partnership between parents, professionals and all the settings that a child attends, improving the quality and consistency in the early year’s sector through a universal set of standards, ending the distinction between care and learning.

This lays a secure foundation for future education through learning and development which is planned around the individual needs and interests of the child, and informed by the use of ongoing observational assessment.

Record Keeping

All the children in the nursery have Learning Journey books that track a child’s development. These can be seen and contributed to at any time by parents/carers. You also will be invited to a parents evening to discuss your child’s progress.
